A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
My anticipation for this book was great, however, the reality was that once again, I was sucked into the lives of the Nightbringer and the Jinn, Elias The Soul Catcher, Helen the Blood Strike and Leia the Scholar. Why, Oh Why must there be another book???? While I loved the story and the multi-dimensional characters as they navigate the coming War, I just wanted resolution. However, with that said, when is the next book due???? Yikes, can't wait, AGAIN!

The SHS Library and English Department are excited to welcome Dashka Slater, author of The 57 Bus!!
Entitled: Nothing But the Truth: Facts, Compassion, and Perspective, Slater's discussion will help our students "dig deeper into the nature of truth". As a former reporter and using the true story behind The 57 Bus, Slater will encourage our students question what they know, view the same event through more than one perspective, and help them to learn to evaluate how their own perceptions of events and the media impact their understanding. Please join us on Friday, September 28th during 4th block for this amazing event. (please sign in using your google account.)
